In the salary fields, please enter an annual rate whether the position is monthly or hourly. The form is designed to calculate total compensation based on an annual rate. To convert an hourly pay rate to annual, simply multiply the hourly wage by 2,080. For example, an employee who makes $12.50 per hour makes roughly $26,000.00 ($12.50 x 2,080) per year.
If the freeze form is affecting multiple positions, please enter the annual salary for only one position rather than a total of all the salaries.
If the current/most recent annual salary fields are disabled, that means that you are requesting a brand new position and would therefore have zero current salary costs for that position.
Select the fringe category for that position. If you aren't sure what that is, please contact the Budget Office. Selecting the category will automatically populate the current fringe rate and the total compensation for that position.
The difference in cost is calculated as an increase, decrease, or no change.
